I tried using RF Systems DX10 and had to add plenty of attenutation in....but my experience is that the added noise level offset any real signal gains....I ended up taking it off due to front end overload and generally higher noise levels along with everything else I won't say don't try as I didn't try it off and on for several months to really test with various sky conditions and give a fair shake...the little 18db amp I have for 100-1000MHz is another matter..works great with this unit...but HF was an entirely different matter ----- Original Message ----- From: "clovisb31" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, May 31, 2010 7:39:00 AM GMT -07:00 U.S. Mountain Time (Arizona) Subject: [YaesuVR-5000] Active antenna?
