Hi Susan... I have a long wire antenna attached to my unit too....although my only gripe is that its a pain to switch between the 2..!! ...completely agree with your comments about about not being the easiest rig to navigate.... I had a VR500 previously & an AOR8000..... and sometimes wish I'd kept these....lol.... but... once you get used to it....lol Don't hear an awful lot up here in Fife..... but moving to Canada next year......so looking forward to having much more to listen to !!
