Hi there, Do you mean that at the lower right hand corner where there is the little clock face, it just shows "--:--"? If so, then: Stop scanning if you're doing it. Press "F" then "Ent" Cursor down to "Misc" then "Ent" Cursor down to "Clock" then "Ent" Enter your local time with the keypad then "Ent' Keep on pressing "Ent" until you get back to the main display. Done. See previous messages about the clock keep-alive battery - if you lose the clock when you turn off the 12volt power supply, you're not alone! Agreed, it's a great radio - although HF performance is not that startling compared to a dedicated HF receiver but that's par for the course on most wideband receivers.
