I would normally say goto  http://www.discriminator.nl/index-en.HTML but it
only shows the FRG9600.

I did find this on  http://www.bander.com/tech/vr5000.htm

Record output: 
Act like discriminator output, taken before volume controll, squelsh
circuitry but have DC filtered so flex protocol and other fast data
transmissions are not allways proberly available. 

Give it a try
