I gave up on FTBCat, found it was more for transceivers. Now I use FTBVR5K to just catalogue and organise my memory locations. Works a treat. Locking out the secondary VFO speeds up scanning too. Sorry, got OT. Hope that you haven't loaded something into the EEPROM to tell it something different. If you have downloaded all your frequencies and other info, I would be inclined to do a total microprocessor reset as per tha handbook page 56 next.
