My guess is that you have a bad soldering on the ground side of your display.

Emne: [YaesuVR-5000] Display problems....

Hi guys,

Noticed a problem - I'm losing a couple of columns and one row of pixels in my
LCD display. I've done a reset and reloaded all the frequencies and no change.
I've recycled the power supply and no change. Before I get really serious and
start taking things apart, has anyone had the same symptoms?

I see from the schematic that the display and it's processor/driver is on the
front panel board, so I assume the whole lot is soldered in, or is the diplay a
plug-in?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Cheers - Martin ZL2MC
