Hi Stuart and welcome to the group. I can understand you ditching the VR5k in favour of the R75, although the HF performance of the VR5k leaves something to be desired! Anyway, I found the manual of the 5k mostly more confusing than helping. However, stick with it and you'll soon see your way through to the things that you do all the time and forget about the smoke and mirrors that the manual promotes. I found the best and easy way to get all in order was to get Bob's memory programme which works really well. http://www.g4hfq.co.uk/vr5kv2help/ftbvr5kv2.htm I also printed out a few pages of 'Memory Joggers' that fit into a business card holder (I use this technique for all sorts of things!) along with the Memory Locations (which is probably overkill!). Anyway - have fun!
