If you want a scanner to turn on the PC, see the options in line with the
ICOMIC-PCR1500 and 2500, have an IC-PCR1000 and is being used to receive
images from NOAA satellites, works beautifully

I meant to add earlier, I do have a Winradio Excaliber for dedicated SW but
i want something I can just use with out the PC. Listening wise its a bit of
everting, but HF data decodig etc would be onthe SDR
