You need a "Null modem" adapter or cable between the serial computer connection and your radio. A "Null modem" is just an adapter that changes where specific wires go from one end of the 9-pin serial connector to the other, as opposed to making a straight-through connection. Some radios need a Null Modem connection (like the Yaesu VR-5000), while others use a straight-through connection (like my Kenwood TS-570D(G)). - Eric, AJ4LN, http://www.InvisibleRobot.com/ --- In [email protected], Chew John <johnchew88@...> wrote: > > Can anyone help me with the CAT, I cannot turn on the CAT. > I have set the CAT RATE to 9600, what else need to be set??? > Is there many type of cable, I am using USB to Serial cable (male) and then connect it to another both end female serial cable??? > Is it different the cable???
