YAESU VR-5000 hang and show low voltage!

I tried to do scanning on YAESU using the CAT function. Whenever I set the scanning to be too fast, for example 1000 scans per second, YAESU just hangs and gives display "LOW VOLTAGE" on the screen. After that, I can no longer read the signal strength via serial port from YAESU anymore. Who encounter similar problem before? What happen? Please help.
