Better antenna to use.

Thanks Neil, could you send me the reference or the part number?

I think i would get more with the RH771 from 120 to 900, but, get less from
0.100 to 120 and from 900 to 1300.

I talk with my local distributr of Yaesu Vertex, and product manager say me
that is very dificult to find an antenna with better total performance than
the default one, specially in the "extremes" of the band of coverage, under
120 and over 900 Mhz.

Do you think i an get something, if i use the VR500 default antenna in the
VR120D?.

Hi: This is Neil. I use a $13.00 scanner antenna that I got at Radio Shack.
It's a great improvement over the stock one. When it is pulled out full
length it's great on the shortwave bands. I use the same antenna on my 2M
HT.
