If you like your VR-120 because of its small size then imagine having 
a similarly small high quality frequency counter.

Face it. You want a frequency counter but they do not come cheaply. 
Scouts go up to $300 plus used on eBay and Xplorers go even higher up 
through the roof!

Here is a chance to buy a lower cost product with the Optoelectronics 
quality behind it! These do not show up for sale very often because 
they work and work well.

This is the now discontinued Techtoyz Micro Counter with optional 
TMC100 antenna made especially for this unit. Some spy shops still 
advertise these for $199 on the Internet.  Waters & Stanton shows 
these on their web site for about $215 USD (195 Euros).

You can use the Micro Counter in public without drawing lots of 
unwanted attention due to its small size. In spite of the name the 
Techtoyz Micro Counter is anything but a toy. It employs some of the 
same digital filtering technology that is employed by Optoelectronics 
in its more expensive frequency counters. This is a great item for 
both amateur radio operators and scanner hobbyists alike. I have 
verified the Optoelectronics distance claim (125 feet away from a 
handheld radio) in actual use.
