hello, the vr120 comes factory set with the power saver feature at 1 second. i have discovered this is a major problem if scanning lots of frequencies. i scan about 300, and at times scan all 640. if the power saver is set to 1 second, and there is a transmission on a frequency in my memory of 640, the chances of the radio picking it up are bad! i found this out by monitoring a local frequency on another radio. the vr120 was scanning past it when there was a transmission!! the reason is the power saver, which happened to have the circuit OFF when it scanned past the frequency. my advice is to set the power saver to off when scanning more than 30 or so channels. -chuck ------------------------ Yahoo!
