Hi,

I was considering the R5 as well. I have a Yupiteru MVT7100
and was looking for a small scanner to carry around.
The things you mention (especially slow scan speed and the
bank scan) where reason for me to buy a VR120 instead.

The sensitivity issue I noticed as well. See my earlier post
'Got my VR-120D yesterday'. Especially on the air band I noticed
that the MVT 7100 is much more sensitive than the VR120.

On the other bands I didn't notice that big differences.
Overall I'm very happy with it....

Cheers,
/Marc
