Sorry for the cross post, but I thought that this announcement is interesting to students who subscribe to the mailing-lists.
 
This year, OSCAR (http://oscar.openclustergroup.org) is participating in Google's Summer of Code program again and there are various project ideas that folks on the various lists may be interested in working on.
