Thanks for all of you! I finally get it work now. The solution is to disable the firewall on the fc5 machine.  It just blocks the mpi communication.

Are both machines set up with a static IP or is one of the machines
acting as a DNS server?  Are both machines allowing incoming traffic
on that port (ie, not blocked by firewall)?  Check /etc/hosts and make
sure both machines know about the other?

There are lots and lots of reasons you would get a "no route to host"
message, these are just some offhand thoughts.
