Hi, all! I've been working using bioperl, EnsEMBL API, TFBS and some other perl module for bioinformatic research for some time. So of course I want to write my own module, too. But when joining the other research groups, I found that some of them do not ever use those modules like bioperl. What I really want to ask is, Are these modules such as bioperl really improving our efficiency? Or are they improving our efficiency at some kind of work and decreasing at the others? How can we decide when to use these modules or not? Besides, when I should give some time on moduling my own codes? Thank you very much! Phil- [email protected] 2006-10-19!
