Ricin, and abrin, polypeptides derived from the castor bean (after extraction of castor oil by pressing), are even more toxic. Ricin was used by the KGB to kill a Bulgarian dissident in London in about 1989, using an injector disguised as an umbrella.

They are listed by LD50 - the dose that kills 50% of test subjects. Note

that the values can be misleading, as stated there, but it gives you an

idea what not to put in your organism :).
