Which is best suitable GC/GCMS

Dear All,
 
I would like to know which is best suitable to do quantification either GC/GCMS. We have GC with FID and GCMS with Quadrapole. We have done the quantification with gcms but we found the linearity is acheived still the consistency is not mentioned. 
Could anyone throw lights on the quantification part of gc and gcms.
