New to Group with QUESTION

Hello.  My name is Rose, I’m 65, and I’m studying chemistry again “for the first time.”  The last time I studied the subject was in high school, using an AMSCO book, all before the moon landing!

QUESTION:  Does “heavy water” (heavy hydrogen) freeze top-down, as does “regular” water?  If not, why not?
