Initials 'R' Us: Knockholt

  I am in search of an authoritative expansion of the initials 'GCWS'
as used in 'GCWS KNOCKHOLT'.  'Government Communications Wireless
Station' seems plausible.  Is it correct?  If not, what do the
letters stand for?

    In the same context, there is a reference to '180S'.  Does this
mean something?  Or is it a typo for 'ISOS'?
