Expanding BP Displays and Exhibits

As arguments are worked through re the selling of land and buildings at
BP,  there are new displays going in, specifically B Block.

My 'Enigma and Friends' exhibit was broken up late in 2004 -
temporarily stored in the Archive.  As I waited for further
refurbishment of B Block to be completed, a space came free - and was
grabbed as a temporary fix.

Now to be displayed - it will take another couple of weeks to complete
- is my bundle of Cipher machines and those supplied by David White.

As space is restricted, not all machines can immediately go out on show
but there are cipher machines representing American, British, European
and Scandinavian systems from the 1930's through to the 1980's (or so).

Some of the British systems I have not seen on public display before
and they go well alongside the Hagelins, my Russian Fialka etc.

David has arranged to get important and excellent systems released and,
in the background, I have been asking for others to be released for
display.  There is a slight problem with de-classifying some things -
apparently.

With more space, more machines, we could consider re-naming the exhibit
to something like 'World Cipher Systems - 1930 to 1990'.  If I can
locate even earlier systems we can push that start date further back.
My dream is to set out machines decade by decade, country by country.

BP.  Nowhere else quite like it, nothing else will do.
