Unfortunately Bletchley does not have the same sort of attraction to the unwashed masses as something that goes "boom" does. To a small group it has infinitely more attraction, to a slightly larger group (who may have a vague idea of how it worked and what it meant) it has some, but to the large fee-paying sector of the public who may have heard of Enigma in passing (and forgotten about it almost instantly) it has little. If the choice is bewteen Bletchley or that large mouse chappie - guess where it's mostly going to go. Sad, but true. I was reading, in the last few days, of a Marine Museum being opened somewhere in the US and on which they have spent $135(?) million. They expect 1/2 a million visitors per year. I wonder if they will sustain it, unless there is a surfeit of things that go "boom" to keep the herd amused.
