Either way, the construction "<address> von <name> offizier <phonetic 
alphabet letter>" is a difficult crib. The only bit that's reliable are 
the 26 combinations of "offizier <phonetic alphabet letter>" and they 
can be anywhere from about 6 to 30 characters from the start of the message.

If it *is* offizier, it's going to be a seriously tough break-in. Even 
with technology 65 years ahead of WWII.
