These messages were intercepoted "during the 1941 blackout" (i.e. between Feb and Dec 1941). UKW "C" was introduced "in 1941" according to wikipedia. I'll take a wild guess that the two events happened at the same time, and that M4 was equipped with the two "greek" wheels and matching UKWs from the start. However, I don't recall ever noticing an M4 workunit with UKW "C" listed..... Anyone know what the story is on this please? Steve
