Matt, At the time of the ban I think this mail list was still on Yahoo. There is a searchable public archive here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bletchleypark/ Which had some discussion on the subject. There was also a letter from the then trust chairman announcing this news, it may be on the archive. You may also find on this archive some useful discussions on more interesting crypto topics.
