Earlier this year the gift of an ETCRRM was made to BP.

David White and I completed a display case alongside our others in B
Block - and ETCRRM is now on show.  Not yet 100% finished but we will
complete it in the next few days.

Of Norwegian design, the system was acquired for use on the
Washington-Moscow hotline following the Cuban Missile Crisis.  Not only
this, the system found a home with the Canadians, the Royal Navy and
NATO .. probably others too.

Yes, the system  was based on a patent by the lat col. Bjorn Rorholt, LA1GA,
one time chief of the Norw. Joints Signals Administration.
He was also a SOE agent during WW2 and has written a couple of books about
his wartime experience.
  I dont think he ever produced an English version.
