Dear Andrew,

I think I would take issue with calling the Colossus "programmable".  The claim is misleading at best.

Furthermore, I am not aware of any role played by the Colossus is decoding "Enigma" intercepts, I rather thought Colossus played a part against traffic generated by Lorenz
Schluesselzusatz SZ40 and SZ42 devices - a much harder problem.
