And isn't it wonderfully awful to note that the BP "Management" statement 
does not even address the main point at issue between the two parties, in 
fact it says nothing substantial!

Talk about burying your head in the sand and hoping that it will go away. 
Might well have been written by a war time committee!

I do hope that someone at the BBC is keeping an eye on this as it really 
goes to the heart of modern Britain and what BP stood and fought for all 
those years ago.

It seems incredibly sad that the two parties are unable to settle on an
arrangement that includes the Colossus rebuild as an integral part of
the visitor experience at BP.   When I was a volunteer guide (1999-2004)
tours nearly always culminated in a viewing of Tony Sale's rebuild in
progress, which in many cases was seen as the highlight.
