Description:

Applications and enquiries are invited from qualified and motivated students
wishing to pursue a PhD degree in Linguistics in the area of corpus-based
discourse analysis. 

The PhD project will involve quantitative and qualitative corpus-based
discourse analysis of Australian media representations of obesity.

It offers an opportunity to develop your interests in corpus linguistics and
health news, in an area of pressing social concern. 

The project is particularly suitable for outstanding candidates with existing
background in corpus linguistics or health language research.

(Please note: because of the upcoming holiday period, responses to inquiries
may be delayed until 8 January.)
