Adding to that, if they take members it is easy to get the
ones that take selcmima: {lu'i ro lu'a}, {lu'o ro lu'a}
and {vu'i ro lu'a}. OTOH, if they take selcmima, there is
no easy conversion the other way.

Now, assuming they take members, the intention clearly was
that {lu'i ko'a} means the same as {lu'i ko'a e no drata be ko'a}.

(Digression: Perhaps {nardu'o} is more accurate than {drata}. 
It is in fact the most drastic {drata}: {drata fi le ka ce'u du 
makau}.) 

But if that is what it means, then lu'i is a more complex beast
than the other LAhEs, since it cannot be reduced to any 
{lo broda be}, it is {lo selcmi be ... e no drata}. I'm not sure 
what the advantages of that would be. I can see some disadvantages. 
For example {lu'i ko'a na.enai ko'e} does not mean what I would 
expect it to mean.
