When ther is one widely know and respected member of a Wikipedia in the EU who can recieve money on his personal account and tranfers it to the paypall-account. It is not a very good system but it makes it much more easy to do a donation. In the EURO-zone payments can be done like a normal payment whit the IBAN accountnumber and BIC code. A money gateway can also be setup on a local Wikipedia level. Every Wikipedia who it wants can select a trustworthy local member to recieve and send the money to wikimedia by paypall. The benefit is that the donations can be done by use of a local national bankaccount. The system of EURO-zone money transfers whit the IBAN and BIC code is still very new and unknown by most users. Much more change of a donation when it is easy to make a payment. This is of course a very sensitif thing. To do this explicit autorisation must be given by "Wikimedia" to act like a money gateway for Wikimedia. What do you think? Walter
