Hello Walter

I think that your tax system is probably much more
lenient than ours for you to think of doing in this. I
for one, would *never* accept to do it, because I know
presumably I would have the income taxes police on the
back within a year :-)

So similar reasons, I would not do it with anyone else
being the trusted one, even if I trust him/her
totally. Because of the risk.

In any case, this could perhaps do for small donations
of wikipediholic, but absolutely not for bigger (let's
dream a bit) groups (and bigger donations).

I guess that unless Jimbo can somehow set up a bank
account in euros, or unless we do not help finding
subsidies, or unless we purchase a second credit card
(and in France, this is *not* free), the only way is
to have a legal structure (association) in one
european country, which will be legally authorized to
receive donations, will pay taxes on the amounts, and
can send them to the main office (le "siège social").
Till now, at least for french people, I see no other
way.

But I suppose that before this kind of structure is
set up, people will have to find other ways. Might be
for quite a while.
