I extract weekly the SQL dump into a set of files coresponding to the articles.
Then I can do all sort of grep on those files; like searching all the occurence
of an URL ending in '.png', .'gif', '.jpg' or '.jpeg'.

If you are interested, I can give you the 'extractor' (a python script) or directly
give you the list of all the URLs of images on the nl or another wikipedia.
