There's generally a fee imposed by the bank on such transfers. If 
you're sending a few hundred dollars or more it's not too bad, but if 
you're sending ten bucks, a $25 fee for an international money transfer 
isn't going to work so great.

It may be worth checking what Wikimedia's bank charges for these sorts 
of things, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if it were convenient.
