I don't expect Romania to be very high on the priority list, but just 
FYI, .ro domains can be bought with $61 (~50 EUR), one time payment (no 
yearly fees at present; although there doesn't seem to be any trend 
towards imposing yearly fees, there's no guarantee on when they will be 
imposed) at http://www.rnc.ro (see http://www.rnc.ro/new/payment.html).
