I support you here Walter. I have regularly similar
problems with  a couple of french posters, and will
admit I was less polite than you when I told a user to
register to the list for the third time.

I am interested by the idea of an automatic message.
Just a question though. The message will automatically
be spent to non-wikipedians spammers as well (the rich
but desperate african, the enlarged sex, and the
luscious lips).
I was told it was best to never answer back to a
spammer, as it could then gain certainty the adress
was valid, and send even more spam. Do you not fear an
increase of spam then ?
