Re: 3 letter language codes when ambiguous

To be fair why not switch them
but have it.wikipedia.org point
to a subdomain of wikipedia.org
with Italian's 3 letter ISO code...
and do the same for all two letter
language codes, just point them to
a three letter code.

This way people can still access 
those domains, and the redirection
is automatic. It I want to get to the
German wiki and de.wikipedia.org
redirects me, I'm still getting there.
So why not? If it would alleviate
the trouble with the confusion of
country codes vs. language codes
it seems like a reasonable solution.
But I'd think it would have to be
for all languages, with redirection
when necessary.
