Hi Eric, Currently I have put forward the question of how to define free as in freedom and related matters (well almost the whole of what the GPL and GFDL covers and issues like GNU philosophy and modern challenges faced by translating modern technologies that have beliefs in age old human nature... etc) to the most central Tamil scholarly forum. Except for their adamant opposition to yet another encoding (UTF-8) there have been some unexpectantly positived results. Almost the whole legalese translation nightmare seems to have been handled by reusing terms that have always been there and widely used in Tamil literature that deals with freedoms and liberties. In this light I would like to contact the below mention organisation and let them know of this forum [Taml-Ulagam Yahoo group] if they are already not there... So having browsed through this resource I am convinced one needs to ask them to use the word free more. > Perhaps the staff, users and > contributors of that wiki would be more attuned to these matters and > would provide some useful input. Yes. Thanks. I have sent mail instead of just editing the Wiki.
