Take a bet? Or two?

I just updated the [[:en:Wikipedia:Multilingual_statistics]] with todays
data, and it said, we have already a complete number of 483886 articles.

Let's make two predictions about the future:
- the D-Day (Demi-Million) will be Feb 27th. This is just a bit counting and
stuff, and by the way it can also mean Denny-Day, as it is my birthday :)
No, honestly, I think this will be the day we hit the half million. It can
be +/- 2 days I think, but it wont be more - taken for granted, nothing
really unexpected happens, like big server outages or the University of
Cairo starting to fill the arabic wikipedia with a few thousand entries
every day... (that would be wonderful!)
- I think, we will reach a Million articles in 2004. Yeah, honestly.
Somewhere close to the end of the year, the multilingual Wikipedia will have
more than a Million articles. That will be D-Day II. Actually M-Day. Anyone
with an M in the name having birthday in December? :)

Wanna bet, anyone?

Yours,
Denny

Two questions:
- what has happened to the Statistics of the nds and the eu Wikipedia - they
dropped suddenly. And what about the lv Wikipedia - the number on their
statistics page is - uhm - less trustworthy...
- when will Erik Zachtes great statistics pages go live again? I know, I
know, there's a whole lot to do right now, with all the server switching,
but I may still hope and ask, may I not? :)
