Indeed, there's a lot of confusion in the area that has bitten me multiple
times. Paired with the fact that "wiki farm" isn't really a true core
concept, but rather something with ad-hoc implementations (like $wgConf)
that provides little cross-wiki functionality as Bartosz said. The main
task about unifying what we have is
