Category listing issue after upgrade of Mediawiki version.

Hi,

I recently upgrade Mediawiki 1.34 to 1.43 and facing issue related to category listing.
I am working with MediaWiki taxonomy structure where:

  *
Category: Grandparents
  *
Taxonomy: Grandparents
  *
Main Topic (Parent Term): Parents
  *
Subtopic (Child Term): Child

Hierarchy looks like this:

  *
Grandparents(Category / Taxonomy)
     *
Parents (Main Topic)
        *
Child(Subtopic)

Now, I have an article that belongs to the Grandparents category, and I want to:

  1.
Assign Taxonomy = Grandparents
  2.
Assign Main Topic = Parents
  3.
Assign Subtopic = Child

Problem:
Currently, when I select Grandparents, it is showing incorrect values (e.g., Porta/Community), and it does not dynamically load:

  *
Grandparents-specific Main Topics
  *   Main Topic–specific Subtopics

Requirement:
I want a solution where:

  *
Selecting Taxonomy (Grandparents) filters and loads only its related Main Topics
  *   Selecting a Main Topic further filters and loads only its related Subtopics

Request:
Please provide:

  *   The correct approach to implement this in MediaWiki
  *   Any required configuration (templates, forms, or extensions like Page Forms / Cargo / SMW)
  *
Sample code or scripts to achieve dependent dropdowns (Taxonomy → Topic → Subtopic)
