The Optimisation and Logistics group at the School of Computer Science and Information Technology, Adelaide University, Australia, in collaboration with Optimatics has a scholarship (paid at $56,135 p.a., and a tuition fee waiver) available for the industry PhD Project "Feature-based Transfer for Optimization of Water Infrastructure”. The prospective student should have a strong background on water distribution systems and/or the design and application of optimisation algorithms such as evolutionary algorithms. Strong knowledge on the use of machine learning tools is an advantage. More information can be found at https://cs.adelaide.edu.au/~frank/IndustryPhD.pdf Applications (including curriculum vitae, list of publications if applicable, English language proficiency results if applicable, university transcripts (in English), and names of two references with their e-mail addresses) must be sent by email as one PDF fie with subject line "PhD application: Water Infrastructure” to Frank Neumann ([email protected]) by 15 January 2026. ********************************************************** * * Contributions to be spread via DMANET are submitted to * * [email protected] * * Replies to a message carried on DMANET should NOT be * addressed to DMANET but to the original sender.
