Two PhD positions in Foundations of Machine Learning on Graphs

Two full-time PhD positions are available within the Discrete Mathematics and Mathematical Programming (DMMP) group at the University of Twente (NL).

The four-year positions are part of the LOGSMS project ("Learning on Graphs: Symmetry Meets Structure"), funded by the NWO VIDI grant of Dr. Gaurav Rattan.

The field of Machine Learning on Graphs seeks to extract knowledge from graph-structured and network data through machine learning models. LOGSMS will combine diverse tools from discrete mathematics, learning theory and machine learning, thus facilitating the design and analysis of provably powerful graph learning models.

We are primarily looking for candidates with a strong background in discrete mathematics, graph theory and graph algorithms. Prior experience in machine learning is highly appreciated, but not obligatory.
