We want to draw your attention to the workshop

“Positivity, Convexity and Computation in Rigidity Theory
<http://www.iaa.tu-bs.de/AppliedAlgebra/workshop_rigidity_2026/index.html>”,

which will take place on

February 26 – 27, 2026,

at the Technische Universität Braunschweig in Germany. In addition, we plan
a reception with a poster session in the evening on the 25th of February.

With this workshop we bring together researchers interested in geometric
rigidity theory with experts on positivity, convexity, symmetry and
computational methods. We plan to have plenty time for discussions, and we
hope that this exchange encourages the development of new approaches and
strategies for tackling geometric problems in rigidity theory.

The workshop is part of the German priority program "Combinatorial Synergies
<https://combinatorial-synergies.de/>" funded by the DFG (German Research
Foundation). The Combinatorial Synergies program contains dozens of PIs
from the Applied Algebra and Geometry community in Germany. In general,
priority programs are large scale research endeavors funded over a period
of six years.
