@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ 108. Arbeitstagung Allgemeine Algebra (AAA) 108th Workshop on General Algebra February 6–8, 2026 Technische Universität Wien, Vienna, Austria Website: https://www.aaa108.org/ Contact: [email protected] Registration: https://www.conftool.org/aaa108/register.php?quick=true Organizers: Mike Behrisch, Paolo Marimon, and Michael Pinsker @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Dear colleagues, This is the final call for your trip AAA108 to Vienna. REGISTRATION (until 18 Jan 2026): Please take note that the official *registration phase for AAA108 is terminating* after 18 January 2026 (CET). If you plan to attend the conference, please register ASAP at https://www.conftool.org/aaa108/register.php?quick=true After 18 January only late registration will be possible with a substantially more expensive fee. Upon registration you will be able to pay the conference fee by credit card. Note that your registration will not be fully valid until the fee has been paid. In particular simply creating an account in the ConfTool system will be understood as a signal of intent to possibly attend the conference but does not count as a registration. ABSTRACTS (until 18 Jan 2026): The deadline for abstract submission of contributed talks (approx. 15–20 minutes) is 18 January 2026, as well. If you haven't submitted your abstract yet, please kindly do so by the end of 18 Jan 2026 (CET) via the following form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdBBxREqUx1LycTQT79-OPrDWLPVeDnQwuCMjn0_RQ2iGGnIw/viewform?usp=header Submitted abstracts may still be modified (with the same form) until 25 Jan 2026 (inclusively). The abstract field should contain the code that you would write inside the AAAabstract-environment in the template. Do NOT load any additional packages other than those provided by the template class, do not modify the preamble (keep the abstract simple). If you feel (in an exceptional case) that you urgently need some additional package for your abstract to be typeset, please consult the organisers before. CONFERENCE DINNER: For those who wish to bring additional guests to the conference dinner on 7 Feb 2026, we have made the purchase of (up to 4) extra dinner tickets in ConfTool available. This is an optional item (60 EUR/person) that can be added upon registration (or, if you are already registered, by modifying your existing registration by clicking on ‘Edit …/or Register for Another Event’). VISA LETTERS: If you request a letter of invitation for visa purposes please contact the organizing committee at your earliest convenience. SPEAKERS: As previously announced, the conference will consist of five invited talks of 50 minutes and contributed talks of 15-20 minutes. Our speakers will be: • Peter Cameron (University of St. Andrews, Queen Mary University of London) • Michael Kompatscher (Charles University in Prague) • James Mitchell (University of St. Andrews) • Gianluca Paolini (University of Torino) • Ross Willard (University of Waterloo) Please feel free to forward this announcement to your colleagues and students who may not be on our mailing list.
