Institute of Mathematics Technische Universität Berlin 5 year PhD position in Discrete Optimization Research Assistant (100% TV-L 13) starting April 1, 2026, or later application deadline: February 13, 2026 A PhD position is available in the "Discrete Optimization" group at TU Berlin (https://www3.math.tu-berlin.de/disco/) with ties to the "Combinatorial Optimization and Graph Algorithms" group (https://www3.math.tu-berlin.de/coga/). The main focus of these groups is on research and teaching in the areas of Discrete Mathematics and Combinatorial Optimization, in particular, network optimization, flows, algorithmic game theory, and mechanism design. We are seeking candidates with an excellent academic degree (Master's degree or comparable) in mathematics or computer science, with profound knowledge in discrete mathematics. Successful candidates will contribute to the group’s teaching and research.
