A postdoctoral position is available in Geometric Algorithms at Aalto University, Finland. The position is part of the Research Council of Finland project “Algorithms in hyperbolic geometry”. The research will focus on algorithms and computational complexity in Euclidean and especially non-Euclidean settings, including hyperbolic geometry. The postdoc will join the Computational Geometry Group at Aalto University, led by Sándor Kisfaludi-Bak. Requirements: * PhD in theoretical computer science, mathematics, or a closely related area * Research-level experience with the design and analysis of combinatorial algorithms * Strong interest in computational geometry / geometric algorithms * Interest in or familiarity with at least some of the following: discrete mathematics and graph theory, non-Euclidean geometry, computational complexity theory, computational topology Experience with hyperbolic geometry is welcome but not required. The position is located at the Aalto University Otaniemi campus in Espoo, Finland, near Helsinki.
