All Souls College, within the University of Oxford, is seeking to hire one Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Theoretical Computer Science. This five-year fellowship is open to those who have been awarded their doctorate since 1 August 2024, or expect to have been awarded their doctorate by 1 October 2027 (special circumstances can be considered). The position is tenable from 1 October 2027.


The primary duty of a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow is to pursue an independent research programme while based in Oxford. Fellows have access to an Academic Allowance of £4,552 per annum for research expenses (such as conference fees, costs associated with travel, meeting organisation, and professional memberships). Additional internal grants are also very regularly granted to support major academic activities.


The salary is £53,234 to £57,341 (including housing allowance of £11,711 if eligible), depending on the amount of teaching undertaken. There is no teaching requirement. Fellows are entitled to lunch and dinner without charge whenever the College kitchen is open. Support is available for relocation to Oxford, including UK visa and NHS surcharge costs.
