The University College Dublin (UCD, Dublin, Ireland) College of Business is
currently recruiting for *2 Assistant Professor Positions* within the
*Management
Information Systems (MIS) Subject Area*.

As reported in the job description, The Management Information Systems (MIS
<https://www.smurfitschool.ie/facultyresearch/subjectareas/mis/>) subject
area within the College of Business at UCD
<https://www.ucd.ie/collegesandschools/business/> is seeking applications
from candidates with a strong interest and track record in teaching and
research in the following areas:


   - *Business Analytics*, with a strong background in areas such as *AI*,
   *optimisation*, *machine learning*, *data **management and analytics*,
   and their application to domains of relevance to business, organisations,
   and society
   - *Information Systems/ Digital Innovation and/ or Business Analytics*,
   more broadly, with a strong background in any of the domains and
   disciplines central to the work of the MIS Subject Area.

In particular, we are keen to recruit individuals who have a deep
interdisciplinary
orientation, and whose work has the potential to make important
contributions to contemporary debates around organisational applications of
AI and their transformative potential.

The posts may be *permanent or of five years duration*.
*To be considered for a permanent post, the candidate is required to have a
minimum of three years prior experience at Assistant Professor level within
a research-intensiveuniversity. This experience must be clearly evidenced
and detailed in the candidate’s application materials.*

The salary scale is the one of Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar
(7943): *€66,055 - €104,600 per annum*.
